I want you to see my first serious music video. I post new videos on YouTube and here’s the link for Something Better by Christopher Marlon Jennings of Northampton, Mass. I posted it about a year ago.
I hope you go over right now and watch it. Again, here’s the link.
If you like it, please give it a thumb’s-up.
In this new single Chris is debuting a solo project, although you might have heard his music in the rock & roll band Sun Parade. This song is driving and all-encompassing, with a killer chorus. It’s really powerful. You won’t ever forget it, and if you listen once, you’ll find yourself returning to it again and again. Chris is extremely talented.
As for me, making the video was fun. As you’ll see, I included a lot of nature, especially Pioneer Valley landmarks. I also included footage of flowers I documented at The Botanic Garden of Smith College. The tree swallows and jays were living at the Mass Audubon Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, a refuge with over 4 miles of trails spanning Easthampton and Northampton. There are even butterflies and critters from the wonderful Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield.
A lot of people love the part where Chris Jennings turns into a butterfly running across the bridge.
The music itself was produced by Danny Bernini and Paul Mcnamara of Spirithouse Music. Feel free to download Chris’s “Something Better” at AsideBsideRecords—100 percent of the proceeds go to the Food Bank of Western Mass.
If you enjoy and want to see more videos of indie music playing in western Mass & environs, I’ll be posting on the @crumbstarz YouTube channel. And if you’re a musician or a band needing a music video, hit me up.
Thank you for your love & support. Truly, thanks.
